OKAN which means Heart in Yuroba, also an acronym for Omer Kringel ANsamble, is an album by Omer's friends scattered all over the world, united to create a unique album that connects the world,
nature, freedom, joy, sadness, creation, life, life all.
Above all, it's a work designed to do good and positive impact. Like the purest days of music. Intention is pure, the result is pulsating. Omer Kringel – grew up in Kibbutz Beeri in the western Negev, writes songs from the age of 6 and has always been a part of world music. At the age of 17 he knew his partner of Argentine descent and then was even more exposed to Latin folklore. Outbound, the album's musical influences range from afro-Latin, pop, Middle East, Africa, funk, jazz and a million other things that Omer has absorbed throughout his life and brought him to write this project. He is torn on Schumann and Brahms, Pharrell, Mercedes Sosa, Stevie Wonder, hip hop, Cuban and Caribian Music, Tango....
